NORTHERN VENTURE takes the audience aboard a working Great Lakes freighter for an unforgettable journey through the heart of Canada's inland waterways. Filmed during a week at sea, this documentary follows the vessel and its 17-member crew from Parry Sound to Thunder Bay, where it loads potash, before continuing south to Hamilton. Along the way, the voyage crosses four of the five Great Lakes and passes through the Soo Locks and the Welland Canal.
